Steps in the Application Process

F-1 Students
Non F-1 Students (permanent residents, citizens, etc.)

F-1 Students

1. Submit the following documents:
   • Completed application form (signed by applicant)
   • Copy of your passport information page, and include copies for any immediate family that will accompany you
   • A bank document proving you have a minimum of $4,350 for each session you plan to study in the US
   • Payment for $100 nonrefundable application fee
     • Payment Options:
       • credit or debit card
       • money order
       • check
       • cash (paid in person at the Language Institute)
   • Payment for $50 International Express Mail Service fee (if applicable)
2. Mail the above to:
   The Language Institute
   Georgia Institute of Technology
   151 Sixth St. NW
   Atlanta, GA 30332-0374
   
   or fax to Registration Coordinator, The Language Institute at 404-894-8755
3. After your documents have been received, the Language Institute will send you an I-20 form
4. Complete the I-20 form and pay the $200 SEVIS fee at www.fmjfee.com/index.jhtml
5. Go to the nearest American Embassy or Consulate to apply for your visa

Non F-1 Students

1. Submit the following documents:
   • Completed application form (signed by applicant)
   • Copy of your passport information page, visa, and I-94 page or resident alien card
   • Payment for $100 nonrefundable application fee
     • Payment Options:
       • credit or debit card
       • money order
       • check
       • cash (paid in person at the Language Institute)
2. Mail or deliver in person the above to:
