Overview

As Georgia Tech expands its global reach, its need for English language training grows. The Language Institute plays a key role by offering:

  • Credit courses for graduate students in collaboration with the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning, or CETL
  • Two-Week Summer Preparation Workshops for international students starting degree programs in the fall
  • Workshops for international graduate teaching assistants (through CETL)
  • Customized programs that meet the needs of departments across campus
  • Noncredit daytime and evening English as a second language courses
  • Tuition waivers and discounts in select programs for visiting scholars and Georgia Tech employees who do not speak English as a native language
